Running at i2S

Running at i2S

Everyone knows the natural benefits of running. Running helps release stress, develop endurance, and is a fountain of youth. Beneficial for the heart, it leads to weight loss, and allows us to develop and tone muscles. This sport also gives us the urge to stop alcohol and tobacco consumption. It favors, amongst other things, the will to push ourselves further and allows for the discovery of unexpected places. Le running at i2S Running is in vogue at i2S. Last year, during the first edition of the Bordeaux Métropole Marathon, eleven i2S employees participated and more than double for the new night edition. i2S, is a company that captures and treats images in all conditions, but it is also a nest of runners that are nuts about running. In the context of the preparation of this Girondin metropolitan race, the employees met up between midnight and two to train. The goal: decompress, but also discuss the services, break the ice between colleagues that were a little upset, reinforce the entrepreneurial spirit. Running is a fashionable sport in the HRD. Why is the popularity of running a blessing for the DRH? Fabrice Dupuy, commercial engineer at i2S and principle organizer of the marathon, gives us his response. From the vantage point of sports consumption of Essec  » A physically active employee has an absentee rate of less than 2% per year and is 12% more productive than a sedentary colleague ». « The practice is accessible and simple for everybody from a material point of view and purchasing budget. It’s where you want, when you want. Everyone is on the same level without...
Open innovation at i2S

Open innovation at i2S

At i2S, we can say that we were « Schumpeterian » and today we are « pirates of innovation «  and this passage is a rewarding path, a daily quest, an extraordinary human adventure. From Schumpeter to a free business Innovation is a complex process that can integrate R&D, creation and anticipation. It is also a collective effort between industries, researchers, human and social science (H.S.S.), creation, design, students, users. The vision of innovation of Schumpeter is « executing new combinations. » It leads to the production of new goods (products, services, processes); such as the introduction of a new method of production or a new means of transport, the implementation of a new organization or its improvement, opening a new outlet or the conquest of a new source of raw materials. For a long time with i2S, innovation was more technical or ordinary, as stated Norbert Alter, where in these fields of experience we distinguish: ”ordinary innovation” (Norbert Alter) : that of everyday that brings the « tips » of employees or users, in a strong development with the contribution of amateurs on « social networks » ; « incremental innovation » that combines innovation to another or improves its functionality or its performance; “ disruptive innovation » or « strategic » which creates a new product or service; “ invention » which creates a new « technical system » reorganizing the whole society. These distinctions fade with the erasing of the domination of science over technology. Science and technology merge in technoscience . However, distinguishing the invention of innovation is difficult , Lucien Sfez ( Technique and ideology , The threshold) proposes the term innovation “to mark the merge between invention and innovation, a...
Factory of the future or lean ?

Factory of the future or lean ?

Factory of the Future Aquitaine is a pioneer in the modernization of its factories and this is the reason that the Aquitaine Regional Council supports our project through its two programs: « Factory of the Future » and « Perfolean ». The sustainable improvement in industrial performance of companies in Aquitaine combines economic performance, employee well-being at work, and respect for the environment. Thus, at i2S, the « Factory of the Future » plan was launched a few weeks ago. We are moving in the direction of « action-ocracy » (do-ocracy) where actions are taken by i2S collaborators, where the desire to do is contagious. To embrace our future, leanness is reaching out to us. What is lean? Lean sustainability is based on four fundamentals dictating its deployment:  the client comes first: he/she drives the demand; people: the core value of the company; continued improvement: step-by-step transformation; going into the field: that is where everything happens. At i2S, we know that the collaborators are the core value of our PMI, and this is why, thanks to them, we « aim for perfection for our clients » by relying on the two pillars of lean sustainability®: economic: through the improvement of results, industrial excellence, mastering the processes, and flow management. social: through the improvement of the directional conditions and the interesting nature of the work, training, and involvement by all. Open-mindedness with the mind standing out from the rest: Why deploy leanness at i2S? Two or three years ago, in the interest of modernization and rationalization, i2S has decided to call upon a specialized firm for lean sustainability®. At first, this project was dedicated to our Production Unit situated in...
i2S at the 24H Innovation day

i2S at the 24H Innovation day

This weekend we’re on a mission: we have 24 hours to save the world with creativity and innovation. A squad of creatives, programmers and engineers made up of Stéphane Arnould, David Larbi, Pascal Thuilliez and Fabien Cleenewerck, is leaving on a quest on the dreamlike paths of creation and personal enrichment. At i2S, we’re opening ourselves up more to the outside world, and even more to new generations. Through our DNA, creative innovation in images, which is constantly being renewed, our goal is to « source » future talents at these kinds of events and to get to know both generations Y and Z and the polymorphism of innovation. For a CEO, crunching numbers is perfectly fine when market shares, profitability and growth are performance indicators. However, those performance indicators no longer guide today’s captains of industry. Indeed, our mantra, collective intelligence, is at the heart of our considerations. Innovating together, co-creation, is no longer just a utopian dream. We’re opening our spheres of activity to communities that bring value to i2S every day. Collective innovation generates « bottom up » ideas, by creating digital workshops (fablab, Open Bidouille) to develop creativity and agile prototyping. We are loudly proclaiming our leap of faith, open innovation is at the heart of our development. By inspiring new avenues of the possible, the expertise, the projects, the risks as well as the stakes are shared. Today our capacity for innovation is reinforced as much by the setup of devices as by the desire to constantly examine groundbreaking innovations. At i2S, we have to reflect on the reasons and the motivations for the innovation: « Will this improve...
