i2S's innovation thrives in a spirit of openness to the economic and financial world. Innovation enablers and associated structures, such as business clusters, public financial assistance and professional organizations, are considered by i2S to be essential vectors of technological and industrial development.

For this reason, i2S participates actively in the AESE (Aeronautics, Space and Embedded Systems) and "Route des lasers" (Lasers, optronics and vision) business clusters. As a member of ALPhA, the governing body of the "Route des lasers" business cluster, i2S uses its collaborative technical platforms and benefits from the design and optical characterization services of ALPhANOV, the Optical and Technology Center located in BORDEAUX.

Partly due to its involvement in the local economic fiber, and getting support from a highly qualified sub-contracting environment coming from the aeronautic industry and recently structured as the Aquitaine Optical Cluster, i2S has a production cluster available to it on the edge of the "Laser Road" with electronic, optical and mechanical CAD, electronic and optronic laboratories, 3 test and assembly rooms, including 1 gray room and a shared clean room.

i2S is sponsoring the 2007 graduating class of l’INSTITUT D’OPTIQUE GRADUATE SCHOOL of Paris. We participate actively in associations such as ADEISO, OPTICS VALLEY, CLUB VISION and A.I.A. i2S is a member of the COMITE RICHELIEU, in whose meetings we regularly participate within the framework of the SME PACT, which allows us to be in constant contact with the decision makers of major accounts and to get a picture of future trends.
The close and constant contacts we maintain with public organizations that are driving incubation and financing of innovation, such as OSEO or the AQUITAINE REGIONAL COUNCIL guarantee a good level of support for the projects we undertake for ourselves or for our customers. i2S has been given the designation "OSEA innovative enterprise".
