Shareholders

i2S was founded in Bordeaux in February 1979 by two engineers, Alain RICROS and Jean-Louis BLOUIN. They each hold 40% of the shares in the company. Jean Pierre Gérault (former Senior Vice President of Xerox Europe) joined the company in 2006 as shareholder of 20% of the capital and as Chair of the Board of Directors.

Governance

Since January 2007, the i2S group is a limited liability company with board of directors and a supervising board.

The board of directors is responsible for management of the company under the surveillance of the supervisory board. It is chaired by Jean-Pierre Gérault who defines the human resources policy and sets the direction for strategic marketing and communication activities.
The chair of the board of directors supervises the heads of the different business units (BDU DigiBook, BDU Vision and BDU LineScan), the managers of the subsidiaries, the operations manager and international affairs.
The board of directors is also represented by Jean-Louis Blouin, who holds the position of managing director. His mission is to supervise the company's financials and information systems, as well as to provide strategic direction for the development of R&D and industrialization services.

The supervising board is chaired by Alain Ricros, who also has operational responsibility for the international affairs of the company.
