Organization of the i2S group
i2S is organized around two major divisions:
Digitization of written cultural heritage

i2S DigiBook designs, manufactures and markets a complete range of
scanners for the digitization of ancient books, bound documents and archives,
associated with powerful software suites for automatic image restoration. The
i2S Digbook division, created in 2000, has gradually made itself the world
leader in digital scanners for bound documents
Distribution and Development of application solutions with high added value

i2S Vision, is the French specialist in digital Vision and industrial
cameras. An institutional partner of major companies such as Sony, Dalsa, and
Matrox, whose products it distributes and integrates into functional
subassemblies, i2S Vision benefits from its position of leader on the
French market, which makes it a strategic partner for international equipment
manufacturers or major technological groups who recognize it for its high
expertise in image acquisition and processing technologies and for the quality
of its service.
A Research & Development Section and a policy of partnership

Partners : over the years, i2S has built an international network of
well-known industrial partners (Equipment manufacturers, Integrators and
Service Providers) and research laboratories such as:
- LABRI, INSA in Lyon, L3i in la Rochelle, Institut de la Cognitique in
Bordeaux, etc.
- It sponsors the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Optique in Paris
- It sponsors the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Optique in Paris
- It participates actively in professional associations such as ADEISO,
OPTICS VALLEY and the Comité Richelieu
- Member of the “Laser Route" business cluster, leader on the
"TerraBook" project and a member of the ALPHA association, which is
responsible for its governance.
- Member of European projects of the 5th Research Framework Program,
VISREC (Vision Assisted Machine for Recycling Applications) and FINDER (Fast
Intelligence Defect Recognition System)
To date, i2S has submitted 18 patent applications and possesses 5 active
patents.
